Brothers Joe Jr. and Ollie, the songwriting core of the band, have a soft spot for 3 minute pop songs drawing inspiration from their outsized record collections - old soul, ska, country and 60s pop. People have made comparisons to The Kinks mainly due to their tongue-in-cheek moments and the brother situation.
They're not going to argue with that. That said, dont get confused and think retro: The Tacticians are London 2007.

Their debut, limited edition, self-produced 7" single on DANCING GIRAFFE RECORDS was tipped by Rough Trade and other independent record shops. It's still being discovered by music bloggers in far flung corners of the US and Japan.

“..self assured Folk-Pop with glockenspiel and infectious melodies..” - 4/5 Rolling Stone Magazine

“Ray Davies busking with Blur on the heat soaked Underground; warm, witty and charming. Brothers Joe JR and Ollie could soon be the most famous pair of songwriting siblings in the UK.” - musicomh.com

“From The Strokes to post-Britpop rock and roll, this album runs through an extended spectrum of the influences of London town’s music scene.” - musicdash.co.uk
